Braga

In Braga in the north of Portugal is a spectacular Cathedral named "Bom Jesus"  It was built to show love, respect and honor to the Savior.

This is the view from the bottom.  That brave soul starting to the top is Elder Anderton.  When those stairs that you can see disappear is is because from that point on the stairs criss-cross back and forth to the top where the Cathedral is.
There are fountains on every level of stairs and statues of important people in the life of the Savior at every turn.  It is really an amazing structure!

At the top is a beautiful church

The grounds at the top are also beautiful and very peaceful

This is as far as I got!!
