It seems like ages ago when the 'girls' surprised us with the news that they were ALL coming to visit us in Portugal! I was so excited but it seemed a long way off and a little unreal. I seriously had my doubts that 4 young mothers could pull it off, leaving behind a combined 18 children and 4 willing husbands for over a week! It was a miracle and it was AWESOME! Doing a road trip through Portugal with a van full of females is a unique experience. A lot of laughter, a lot of giggling and a lot of bathroom stops! We feel so blessed to have had them make the effort to come - so grateful for our week of safety and adventure. We would have loved to have all the family come... and I know they all would have if they could have... but for now they will have to live vicariously through these pictures of the girls (and the ones's from Jared and Ingrid's visit)

LUCKILY THEY CAME ON SEPARATE FLIGHTS!! WE DIDN'T RENT OUR BIG VAN UNTIL LATER THAT DAY.

They are still in 'jet lag' mode but they look beautiful to me in the 'over look' park on the way home from the airport!
